About 50 kids from 5 to 18 years old attended the coaching clinic held at Rathkeale College this morning.
The clinic was run by the Bracewell Cricket Academy. Coaches from the Napier based academy joined with local coaches to provide a morning of fun, enjoyment and serious learning for the eager young cricketers.
Competitions were held that tested fast bowling, longest hit, and best throwers among the many activities.
The highlight was the Speed Ball radar. Promising Wairarapa College fast bowler, Stefan Hook just pipped Ben Foster in recording the fastest delivery of the morning at 118 km/hour.
