Central Districts Cricket Board Members

Central Districts Cricket Association (CDCA) is a forward thinking and innovative organisation responsible for delivering cricket in the Taranaki, Wanganui, Manawatu, Horowhenua-Kapiti, Nelson, Marlborough, Wairarapa and Hawke’s Bay regions.

CDCA is an incorporated society governed by a board of seven volunteer directors who are elected for a three-year term at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), following recommendation by a Board Appointments Panel. Two directors will retire by rotation at the AGM with both directors seeking re-election.

Applications are now open to candidates who can demonstrate a mix of strengths across the key skills and competencies outlined in a framework approved by the organisation’s membership. This framework aims to deliver outstanding governance leadership and includes an ability to engage in original thinking that will drive the sport forward across the region.

In addition, Directors may also possess specific strengths in a range of areas including: broadcasting/media, finance, marketing/communications, high performance sport and organisational development amongst others.

In delivering a game for all New Zealanders, CDCA is committed to encouraging diversity and inclusion across gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and religion.

Directors must be prepared to undergo regular governance reviews and be willing to develop their personal governance capabilities by completing programmes such as ‘Governance 101 for Cricket’ through Sport NZ.
