Simon Roseingrave - Sport Wellingtons "Volunteer of the Month"

Congratulations to Simon Roseingrave for winning Sport Wellingtons “Logan Brown Volunteer of the Month”!  It is great to see Simon’s efforts as a volunteer in local cricket being recognised.  Sammy Curtis the Wairarapa Cricket Development Officer says, “Simon has been the cog in the Red Star wheel over the past two seasons ensuring that their junior system is strong, effective and well nurtured”.  Simon has devoted many hours to Red Star.  He is the Red Star junior co-ordinator, coaches 3 teams and puts in hours and hours into administration. Red Star had 8 teams competing in the junior competition and this is largely due to the organisational skills and dedication of Simon.  On top of this Simon is a committee member of the JCB.

Sport Wellington’s Sport Development Advisor Jamie Milne says “Simon plays an integral role alongside his team at Red Star Cricket. Incidentally when I called him to congratulate him on winning the April award he was getting ready to go coaching football – a year round volunteer and a champion of the community.”

For his fantastic efforts Simon will receive a Logan Brown Bistro Lunch for two with wine tasting options.  He will also receive a certificate recognising his efforts as a volunteer, and will be presented with sporting apparel from ISC Lenco.

Well done Simon – the cricket community are very proud of you!
