What an amazing twenty four hours it has been for Seth Rance!
Yesterday Rance helped his Greytown club side to win the Central Districts Club Champs and will now progress as the CD representatives to the national championship in Auckland in April and today he has been named in the Central Stags team to play against Otago in Nelson starting on Friday.
Rance has had a stellar season for both Turkey Red Greytown and the Trust House Wairarapa side competing in the Hawke cup including top scoring in both innings against Horowhenua Kapiti last weekend.
Rance last played for the Stags in the 2010-11 season before a pectoral injury, which required surgery, put a lengthy hold on his first class playing career.
“After 3 years of bad injuries and tough luck it’s a proud moment to represent my province again.” Said Rance.
“It’s been an awesome day or so, firstly with Greytown and now getting selected for the Stags again. I’ve been so keen to get back amongst the first class set up and test myself against the best,” he added.
Rance departs for Nelson on Wednesday and will have two training sessions before the match starts on Friday at Saxton Oval.
