Wairarapa Under 17 Boys
Yesterday the Under 17 Boys played Marlborough. Wairarapa won the toss and put Marlborough in to bat. Marlborough were bowled out for 195 in 49.4 overs. Top wicket takers were Kelsey Fahey (10 overs, 29 runs and 3 wickets) and Stephen Sprowson (10 overs 41 runs and 3 wickets). Opening batters Nathan Elliott (31 runs) and Kenneth Sprowson (24 runs) got off to a great start putting on 73 runs in 20.3 overs before Kenneth was caught. Anthony Sprowson came in at number 5 and top scored with 47 runs. The winning runs for Wairarapa were scored in the the last over with 3 balls to spare. Wairarapa ended up with 196 for 8, resulting in a 2 wicket win. Well done, boys. Today they play Manawatu.
Wairarapa Under 15 Boys
In Levin yesterday the Under 15 boys played Nelson. Wairarapa loss the toss and were put in to bat. Unfortunately they were all out for 61 runs. Nelson then batted and were able to pass the Wairarapa score and add another 100 runs before declaring and taking first innings points. The Wairarapa boys were then put back into bat and had to survive 42 overs to prevent Nelson from getting the outright win. The boys survived the 42 overs and only lost 3 wickets in their second innings resulting in a draw.

First innings Ethan Childs got 19 runs. Second innings Wynter Cook-McClure was not out on 11 but opened and survived until the end of play
