This was the first encounter of what is hoping to be a regular fixture.  The game was played in good positive spirits, with all the kids having a great day.

The other game was between the Wairarapa Incrediball Invitational XI versus the Johnsonville Incrediball 1st XI in a 25 over match.  This was the first time for many from the Wairarapa teams plying so many overs and playing the Wellington rules which included “when you are out your are out!”

The Wairarapa played very well. They won the toss and elected to bowl first. They restricted Johnsonville to 46 runs, making great use of the minus 5 runs for a run out.  Wairarapa ran out Johnsonville 7 times with some great fielding by all.

The Wairarapa team then went into bat and had several batters retiring before reaching their target.  It was a good all round performance from a group who had never played together before.
