Our Grounds

The WCA is proud of the standard of playing facilities it is able to offer. A number of grounds are used around the wider Wairarapa District for all levels of the game, supplied both via local councils, as well as private (mainly school) facilities.

Queen Elizabeth II Park Oval

The Home of Wairarapa Cricket, QEII Oval has a new 6-strip pitch block of Patumahoe Clay built in the 2015 off-season. The pitch block caters for Representative and Pathway, Senior Mens and Womens and Junior Saturday morning cricket. Friday night & Saturday morning junior matches are also played on purpose cut strips on the Oval outfield.

Greytown Memorial Park

The Home of the Greytown Cricket Club. Greytown Memorial Park has a grass pitch block which caters for Senior Club cricket and Junior Saturday morning cricket. Friday evening Junior fixtures are played on strips mown into the Park outfield.

Rathkeale College

The Rathkeale Oval is the home of the the Rathkeale 1st XI Boys team and has hosted Hawke Cup cricket on occasions. Rathkeale’s other facilities include a further 3 grass pitches and two artificial playing strips.

Wairarapa College

Wairarapa College

The Wairarapa College Oval facility has a number 1, clay, pitch block utilised for all levels of cricket, plus another grass block and an Artificial pitch.

Park Sports

Park Sports Ground is one of Masterton’s largest multi-use sporting venues. Over the cricket season the WCA utilises one artificial pitch on the ground for mainly open grade or junior cricket.

Carrington Park

Carrington Park, Carterton

Carrington Park is the home of the Carterton Junior Cricket Club and has one artificial pitch used solely for junior cricket, with other junior grades played on its outfield.

Douglas Park

Douglas Park, Masterton

An artificial pitch which hosts junior fixtures across grades as well as local Female franchise cricket.

Masterton Marist

Masterton Marist have an artificial pitch at Memorial Park Masterton (rear field) which hosts Senior Mens club fixtures as well as junior fixtures across Friday and Saturday grades.


Card Reserve

Card Reserve in Featherston boasts an artificial pitch which hosts Senior Mens Club fixtures, mainly in the T20 space.

Considine Park

A new grass pitch block built in the 2018-19 season utilised for junior hardball and social senior cricket.
